Roger Dale Peck
Roger Dale Peck was born in Metamora, Michigan, on August 18, 1924, the son of Ward and Ethel Kay Peck. The Peck family moved to Rochester when Roger was a child and lived on Madison Street. Roger attended Rochester High School and graduated in the class of 1942.
Before the war, Roger served as an apprentice mortician to Vern Pixley at the Pixley Funeral Home. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Forces in November 1942 and trained as a bomber pilot. Roger married while attending flight training in Oklahoma in 1944. He remained a captain in the Air Force Reserve after being released from active duty.
After the war, Roger and his wife returned to Michigan to raise their family. Roger was a sales manager for Chevrolet before becoming a dealer in 1967. He operated Roger Peck Chevrolet in Farmington, Michigan, from 1967 to 1984.
Roger Dale Peck died at the age of 71 on September 5, 1995, and was laid to rest in Farmington, Michigan.
