RAHS Salon: Rochester’s Winters Past

Introducing a new program format from the Rochester-Avon Historical Society (RAHS)! Based on the salons of the past, the new program features a hosted group of people who meet and discuss a theme in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. It’s a night of conversation and sharing with the aim of building community. Join RAHS at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm (1005 Van Hoosen Rd., Rochester Hills) on Thursday, February 5 at 7 p.m. to meet fellow local history enthusiasts and share your stories and interest in Rochester’s history.
For this first salon program, the theme is “Rochester’s Winters Past.” We’ll begin with a brief history of Rochester’s Ski Jump. So dig out those old photo albums, bring your photos and letters from past winters in Rochester, and share your stories and memories with us! Or you’re welcome to sit and listen about winters past in Rochester as told by your neighbors and new friends.
Limited seating for this event. Light snacks and bottled water will be provided. This event is free for RAHS members. Nonmembers are asked to consider a $5 suggested donation at the door. Registration is required.
