Frank Edwin Boeberitz
Frank Edwin Boeberitz was born in Rochester, Michigan, on April 27, 1919, the son of Zachariah and Anna Wegener Boeberitz. Frank attended Rochester High School and graduated in the class of 1937. He continued his education at Michigan State Normal School (now Eastern Michigan University) in Ypsilanti, and worked at the Gulf service station at Third & Main Streets in Rochester.
In 1942, Frank entered the U.S. Coast Guard. He was accepted in the Coast Guard Band, where he rose to the rank of musician first class. He played saxophone, clarinet, and piano. He was stationed at the Manhattan Beach Coast Guard Station in Brooklyn, New York.
After the war, Frank and his wife Genevieve, whom he had married in 1944, moved to Royal Oak, Michigan. Frank owned and operated Troy TV in Troy, Michigan.
Frank Edwin Boeberitz died at age on September 17, 2006, and was laid to rest in Christian Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Rochester Hills, Michigan.
