Dean Allan Kendall
Dean Allan Kendall was born in Detroit, Michigan, on September 30, 1923, the son of Henry and Bridget Bradley Kendall. The Kendall family moved to Oakland County when Dean was a small child and lived on the Avon Township/Troy Township border. Dean attended Rochester High School and graduated in the class of 1940.
In July 1942, Dean enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Forces. He was trained as a nose gunner on the B-24 bomber. He completed 33 missions in the European Theater and was awarded the Air Medal.
After the war, Dean married and started a family. He joined the Detroit Police Department as a law enforcement officer, eventually retiring at the rank of lieutenant.
Dean Allan Kendall died at age 81 on September 23, 2005.
