Harold Allen
Harold Allen was born in Rochester, Michigan, on August 17, 1924, the son of Arthur and Mabel Grabe Allen. He attended Rochester High School and graduated in the class of 1943.
In March 1943, Harold entered the U.S. Army. He was assigned to the 101st Field Artillery Battalion and was wounded in action in Luxembourg on December 26, 1944. Harold was awarded the Purple Heart and was released from military service in January 1946.
After the war, Harold returned to Rochester. He married, started a family, and pursued a career as an automobile mechanic, working many years for Crissman Cadillac.
Harold Allen died at age 87 on May 17, 2012, and was laid to rest at Mount Avon Cemetery.
