Wesley Wallace Weaver
Wesley Wallace Weaver was born in Rochester, Michigan, on July 5, 1920, the son of Harold and Edith Lambertson Weaver. He attended Rochester High School and graduated in the class of 1938. Wesley married Florence Jacobson in Rochester in 1941. Before the war, he was employed at Yellow Cab & Coach in Pontiac.
In June 1943, Wesley entered the U.S. Navy. He was trained as a torpedoman and stationed aboard the destroyer escort USS Straub. The Straub conducted anti-submarine patrols off the course of South America and in the Atlantic. Wesley was released from military service in November 1945.
After the war, Wesley moved his family to Flint, Michigan, where he operated a kitchen and countertop business for 50 years.
Wesley Wallace Weaver died at age 83 on July 2, 2004, and was laid to rest in Flint, Michigan.
