Charles Frank Sibert

Charles Frank Sibert was born in Fruitport, Michigan, on December 18, 1920, the son of Charles and Clarissa Bowles Sibert. The Sibert family moved to Rochester in 1924. Charles attended Rochester High School and graduated in the class of 1938. He continued his education at Albion College, earning his degree in 1942.

In August 1942, Charles entered the U.S. Army. He was assigned to an Army Specialized Training Unit (ASTU), a program designed to meet the military’s need for skilled specialists and technicians, and trained as a finance clerk. He was assigned to the 13th Armored Division headquarters and was released from military service in January 1946.

After the war, Charles earned his law degree, married and started a family, and established a law practice and real estate company in Rochester. He was a charter member of the Rochester Board of Realtors and Rochester Bar Association, and a Fellow of the Michigan Bar Foundation.

Charles Frank Sibert died at age 94 on October 31, 2015.
