O.C. Martin

O.C. Martin was born in Perry, Michigan, on February 10, 1919, the son of Otto and Cleo Franks Martin. The Martin family moved to Avon Township when O.C. was a teenager, and he attended Rochester High School, graduating in the class of 1937. After high school, O.C. was employed at Pontiac Motors. He married in 1942.

In April 1942, O.C. enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was transferred to the Air Forces and assigned to the ground crew of the 348th Bomb Squadron of the 99th Bombardment Group, which was active in North Africa and the Mediterranean. O.C. was discharged from military service in October 1945.

After the war, O.C. and his wife, Lenore, lived in Rochester and brought up their family. O.C. was employed in security at Parke-Davis Biological Farm and retired from the company in 1982.

O.C. Martin died at age 70 on July 10, 1989.
