Max Eugene Clymer
Max Eugene Clymer was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on June 26, 1926, the son of Esra and Cora Engle Clymer. The Clymer family moved to Avon Township when Max was a teenager and lived on Norton Lawn Road. Max attended Rochester High School, where he played baseball. He received his high school diploma in 1946 after completing his military service.
In June 1944, Max entered the U.S. Navy. He was stationed at Corpus Christi, Texas, then transferred to the Naval Air Station at Norfolk, Virginia, where he worked in the assembly and repair department. Max was released from military service in July 1946.
After the war, Max married, started a family, and went on to a 29-year career as manager of the Oakland County Credit Union.
Max Eugene Clymer died at age 82 on February 19, 2009, and was laid to rest in Clarkston, Michigan.
