Ivan Hugh Maitrott

Ivan Hugh Maitrott was born in Troy Township, Michigan, on June 22, 1914, the son of George and Bertha Aspinwall Maitrott. Ivan grew up in Troy Township and married Emily Hubbard of Avon Township in 1939. Before the war, Ivan worked as a night policeman for the village of Rochester.

In May 1943, Ivan entered the U.S. Army. He was assigned to the 1199th Engineers and was stationed in Barry, Glamorgan, Wales. He was released from military service in February 1946.

After the war, Ivan worked for Chrysler Corporation. He and his family moved to Marysville, Michigan, where he was active in the Port Huron Power Squadron and the American Legion.

Ivan Hugh Maitrott died at age 76 on September 8, 1990.
