Frederick W. Goth
Frederick W. Goth was born in Huron County, Michigan, on February 14, 1895, the son of William and Martha Dingman Goth. He was the brother of George Goth, who lived in Rochester, Michigan, and worked at Parkedale Biological Farm. Frederick served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a member of a machine gun battalion stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. He remained a career soldier after the war, stationed at Fort Douglas, Utah, with the 38th Infantry Regiment.
During World War II, Frederick was stationed at Fort Ord, California. He was killed by a hit-and-run driver near Fort Ord on August 15, 1942.
Frederick W. Goth died at age 47 on August 15, 1942, and was laid to rest in Mount Avon Cemetery.
