Milton Paul Stadler

Milton Paul Stadler was born in Sterling Township, Michigan, on November 30, 1914, the son of Charles and Tillie Behnke Stadler. The Stadlers moved to Avon Township when Milton was a small child, and Milton’s father worked at Meadow Brook Farm for John and Matilda Dodge. Milton attended Rochester schools. Before the war, he was employed at Pontiac Motors.

In May 1943, Milton entered the U.S. Army. He had completed radar school in Chicago and was stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas, when he became ill. He underwent surgery for acute pancreatitis at Fort Bliss but developed post-operative pneumonia and failed to recover.

Milton Paul Stadler died at age 29 on May 17, 1944, and was laid to rest in Utica Cemetery.
