Guy Allen Jenne Jr.
Guy Allen Jenne Jr. was born in Cheboygan, Michigan, on August 21, 1924, the son of Guy and Lillian St. Peter Jenne. As a teen, Guy lived in Rochester, Michigan, with his aunt and uncle, Kenneth and Ida Jenne Hunt. He attended Rochester High School and graduated in the class of 1942. After high school, Guy was employed at Sutton’s grocery on Main Street in Rochester.
In March 1943, Guy entered the U.S. Army. He was assigned to the Medical Corps and attached to an Army Air Forces unit. He served at the Army’s Lawson General Hospital in Georgia before being sent overseas to the China-Burma-India Theater. Guy was released from military service in January 1946.
After the war Guy married, started a family, and worked in the auto body repair business. He moved from Rochester to Harrison, Michigan, in 1972 and retired there in 1988.
Guy Allen Jenne Jr. died at age 69 on November 28, 1993, and was laid to rest in Clare County, Michigan.
