Audrey Wayne Hunt

Audrey Wayne Hunt was born in Rochester, Michigan, on September 5, 1917, the son of Roland and Mayme Orilla Hunt. Audrey attended Rochester High School and graduated in the class of 1935. Before the war, Audrey worked at the Burroughs Adding Machine Company in Detroit and was a member of the Michigan National Guard.

In April 1941, Audrey entered the U.S. Army. He transferred to the Army Air Forces and was stationed in the U.S. during the war. He attended officer training and was commissioned as a second lieutenant. On November 16, 1945, Audrey was killed in the crash of a P-38 fighter plane at Will Rogers Field in Oklahoma.

Audrey Wayne Hunt died at age 28 on November 16, 1945, and was laid to rest in Mount Avon Cemetery.
