Gordon George Ladd
Gordon George Ladd was born in Utica, Michigan, on October 14, 1918, the son of Lyster and Laura Gesch Ladd. Gordon grew up in Avon Township, where his family lived on Auburn Road. He attended Rochester High School and graduated in the class of 1937. He was also active in Sea Scouts. After high school, Gordon worked in the real estate business with his father.
In early 1941, Gordon entered the U.S. Army. He was assigned to the 107th Medical Battalion and stationed in England. Gordon was discharged from the Army for disability in the line of duty in October 1943.
After the war, Gordon returned to the real estate development business in the firm of Ladd’s Inc.
Gordon George Ladd died at age 47 on December 15, 1965, and was laid to rest at White Chapel Cemetery.
