Lowell Grant Haring

Lowell Grant Haring was born in Clare, Michigan, on April 12, 1922, the son of George and Ethel Crawford Haring. Lowell grew up in Clare and graduated from Clare High School in 1940. After high school, he lived in Avon Township and worked at Yellow Truck & Coach in Pontiac, Michigan. Lowell married Dorothy Eberhart in April 1942.

In October 1942, Lowell entered the U.S. Army. He was assigned to an ordnance unit and sent overseas to France. He was later assigned to a medical detachment with the 18th Infantry Regiment. Lowell was released from military service in November 1945.

After the war, Lowell and his wife raised their family, and Lowell worked for General Motors, retiring after 38 years of service.

Lowell Grant Haring died at age 77 on June 23, 1999, and was laid to rest in Sutton’s Bay, Michigan.
