DESCRIPTION:The Rochester-Avon Historical Society (RAHS) is hosting its 32nd Antique Appraisal Day on Sunday\, April 12 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm\, 1005 Van Hoosen Road\, Rochester Hills\, MI. This popular community event is the society’s largest fundraiser! Whether you have inherited a family keepsake\, discovered a curious find at an estate sale\, or simply want to learn more about a favorite collectible\, Antique Appraisal Day offers a fascinating and educational experience for collectors and history enthusiasts alike! Think of it as a local version of one of television’s most popular antique appraisal shows!\nSpecialists will be available to appraise the following:\n\nBooks; records; cast iron toys\, dolls\, teddy bears; coins; décor; clocks\, glass\, pottery\, china\, collectibles\, lighting\, furniture; fine & vintage costume jewelry; art: oils & prints\, stained glass\, Eastern art\, engravings; stringed instruments & accessories; sports memorabilia\, pop-culture items\, comic books; military items.\n\nPLEASE NOTE: BRING PHOTOS ONLY and descriptions of larger items with descriptions. Bring photos only of guns & antique weapons. No weapons will be permitted in the event space.\n\nAll items are appraised at fair market value.
