SUMMARY:RAHS Salon: Rochester Neighborhoods & Streets
DESCRIPTION:Based on the salons of the past\, RAHS’s new programming features a hosted group of people who meet and discuss a theme in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. It’s a night of conversation and sharing with the aim of building community and friendship. \nFor this salon\, we will be sharing stories about our neighborhoods and the streets we grew up on or live on. We’ll begin with a brief look at area street names and who they are named for. So dig out those old photo albums\, bring your photos and stories about the streets where you live! Come share your stories and memories with us! all are welcome to sit and listen about Rochester’s past as told by your neighbors and new friends. \nJoin RAHS at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm (1005 Van Hoosen Rd.\, Rochester Hills) on Thursday\, May 7 at 7 p.m. to meet fellow local history enthusiasts and share your stories and interest in Rochester’s history. \nLimited seating for this event. Light snacks and bottled water will be provided. This event is free for RAHS members. Nonmembers are asked to consider a $5 suggested donation at the door. Registration is required.
