CANCELED Thursday Evening Lecture: The Golden Age of the Movie Palaces & Theater Pipe Organs

On Thursday, April 2, 7-8:30 p.m. at the Rochester Hills Public Library’s Multipurpose Room, RAHS Membership Director, Richard Dengate, a retired high school teacher and university lecturer, will present “The Golden Age of the Movie Palaces & their Theater Pipe Organs” — a historical look back at the theaters of long ago and the pipe organs that once entertained generations of moviegoers presented through photographs and film which will recreate the thunderous sounds which reverberated throughout these cavernous temples of architectural wonder.

Dengate is a member of the American, Detroit, and Motor City Theater Organ Societies.
